Katie McBroom is an award-winning content creator and strategist with over a decade of experience in digital media.

Her blended background includes traditional editorial work in addition to insight-driven strategy, both on the agency side and in-house. She’s well-versed in campaign development and collaborating cross-functionally on holistic marketing plans for brands. Past clients include SEPHORA, P&G, and the Coty Professional portfolio.

Past experience includes leading the editorial content strategy and UX writing for Google’s Connect, a blog designed for creators on Google Maps. She also serves as lead copywriter for Google’s Local Guides program. Previously, she oversaw all beauty coverage as Beauty Editor of Hearst's search-focused commerce site, BestProducts.com. Under her direction, beauty was the top-performing vertical in both traffic and revenue. Katie’s commerce content has also appeared in publications including Men’s Health, Elle, Insider, Yahoo, WWD, and CNN, among others.

She's also the voice behind Martinis and Mascara, a lifestyle blog devoted to beauty, booze, fashion, food, and fun. She was dubbed Allure’s Most Buzzworthy Blogger in 2013 and one of Lucky's New Voices of Beauty in 2014. Since then, she's garnered coverage in publications including Refinery 29, Buzzfeed, NewBeauty, Health, and Seventeen.

In addition to her digital background, Katie is a professionally certified makeup artist and licensed cosmetologist.
